DVI-I en DVI-D - Overeenkomsten en verschillen van de verbindingen
De DVI-monitorverbinding is verdeeld in de namen DVI-I en DVI-D. Er is ook DVI-A. In de praktijk is deze norm echter van weinig belang. We leggen de verschillen en overeenkomsten van de verbindingen uit.
DVI-I of DVI-D - wat is het verschil?
Het verschil ligt in de hoeveelheid en bedrading van de pinnen. Kortom, u moet nog steeds onderscheid maken tussen dual-link- en single-link-kabels. Het volledige scala aan pinnen wordt gebruikt voor dual link-verbindingen. Daarom zijn hogere resoluties mogelijk. DVI-D-kabels zijn achterwaarts compatibel: u kunt een dergelijke kabel op een DVI-I-aansluiting aansluiten. Dit werkt niet in de andere richting, omdat de DVI-I-kabel nog vier analoge pinnen heeft.
- DVI-I: Naast digitaal kunnen deze kabels ook analoge gegevens verzenden, wat betekent dat ze vier extra pinnen nodig hebben. Single-link-kabels bereiken een resolutie van Full HD, d.w.z. 1920 x 1080 pixels. Met dual-link kabels zijn tot 2560 x 1600 pixels bij 60 Hz mogelijk dankzij de extra datalijnen.
- DVI-D: Hier gelden dezelfde gegevens als voor DVI-I. Het enige verschil is dat DVI-I ook analoge gegevens kan verzenden. In de screenshot ziet u een DVI-D enkele link-verbinding. De aardpen is groen gemarkeerd. Met een DVI-I-aansluiting zijn er nog steeds de genoemde analoge slots rond deze pin. In het geval van een dual link-systeem zou het rood gemarkeerde gebied ook volledig worden gevuld met twee kolompennen.
